SaleS4Rookies is a initiative by SaleS AddA (www.salesadda.org) for Rookies sales professionals. The best are shortlisted and put through a short training program (3 weekends), at the end of which selected companies will interview candidates

Rookies are defined as persons with 0 - 3 years of work experience in sales

The companies selected for the initiative are SaaS product companies operating in the international market

The positions are Inside sales, operating in international time (US, Europe). The positions are both outbound calls and inbound calls.

The salaries offered by the companies range between INR 3,00,000 - 8,00,000 depending on experience and scores in training

SaleS AddA is interested in selecting and training the best. We do not charge from the Rookies

The training program is on 3 weekends, at the end of which selected companies will interview candidates based on the score card and their interaction on the company sales floor (during the company visit)

Why inside sales?

  1. Inside sales is growing faster then field sales

  2. More of the sales process is moving inside and field sales positions are going redundant

  3. Inside sales international could be a stepping stone of international sales assignments

  4. Professionals with inside sales SaaS experience are in demand

  5. IT SaaS products is at a nascent stage but on a growth path

Inside sales is a process which is replacing field sales and the change is happening fast and furious. Inside sales is growing 300% faster than field sales. By 2020 70% of all tech will be sold by Inside Sales teams. Huge projections, and big enough not to ignore.

What is the challenge / test for the selection process?

You are representing a SaaS company from India, selling to US

  1. Script one cold email to a prospective client
  2. Script one follow up email to a prospective client
  3. Script and record a cold call to a prospective client

The process for selection

Stage 1: Sign up on the Skillenza challenge page. Registrations go live from 28th June, 2017

Stage 2: To apply complete, the online assignments (

Stage 3: If you qualify, telephonic and personal interview

Stage 4: Final list for Cycle 1 begins on July 31st

Stage 5: Cycle 1’s first class begins on August 5th

The number of seats are 15 - 20. The interviews are done in batches so the faster one applies the better are one’s chances to qualify

Any graduate with 0 - 3 years of sales experience

SaleS AddA does not guarantee a job. Neither the selected companies nor SaleS AddA are obliged organise an interview. It is expected that the candidates would take very opportunity to impress the sales leaders involved in the training program

The batch will be finalized on July 31st. The class begin on Aug 5th. The recruitment process begins in the last week of August

The training are free. Experienced sales professionals and sales leaders from selected companies provide the training

No. SaleS AddA is not a recruitment company. We do not guarantee the performance of the selected candidates and do not provide replacement

The selected companies have indicated that they are looking for candidates with skills but also right attitude and aptitude for instance, integrity, persistence, perseverance, “Jugaad”, and so on

For this particular cycle, the selected companies are focused on international market, so communicating (written & verbal) in English is important. The operating word is “communication”
