The allowed team size is 3 members

After registration, you will be redirected to the Skillenza platform where you can network with like-minded registrants and form teams based on thematic/topic interests.

It is mandatory that the team should be composed of 3 members from different disciplines. One member must be from a technical background, one from a non-technical background and one from a communications background.

For example:
Technical background: Engineering, Architecture, Urban planning, App developer, GIS etc
Non-Technical background: Sociology, Environmental science, Gender studies, etc.

Communications background: Media field, Artist, Photographer, Novelist, Podcaster, Videographer etc

It is mandatory to have at least one female member. We encourage an all- women team and other gender identities

To be eligible for this program, you must be :

  • In the age group of 18 to 30 years and an Indian national
  • A young professional with a Bachelor’s degree in disciplines like media, architecture, civil engineering, sociology, art, urban planning, music and others.
    Or
    Applicants with 10th/12th degree and/or non-degree certificates like vocational course certificates with experience of working in disadvantaged communities on aaco thematic priorities
  • Part-timers/freelancers/not involved in a full-time job
  • Applicants must have basic English proficiency
  • Applicants from diverse economic and social backgrounds are encouraged to apply

Applications from all backgrounds are welcome. The winning 🏆 teams will receive:

  • A financial grant of up to 🥇 INR 4,50,000 per team (a three-member team). Each member receives INR 1,50,000. The grant is inclusive of all applicable taxes.
  • Access to tap into a young urban leader network 😎 and get a head start in the WASH sector.
  • Site-based applied learning, knowledge-sharing, capacity-building, and direct technical assistance by aaco partners. 👏
  • One-to-one 🤝 mentorship and coaching from field experts
  • Workshops 🏢 to develop skills on topics such as stakeholder engagement methods, design-thinking, effective story narration, etc.
  • Global 🌏 visibility and connections

Preliminary deliverables:

  • Resume (PDF/.DOCX format) - Share your updated resume/CV
  • Motivation (PDF/.DOCX format) - Share your motivation to join the ACCESS program (the word limit is 200 words)
  • Sample Work (OPTIONAL) - Share an example of your work that showcases the ability to tell compelling, true, stories

Final deliverables:

1 [Mandatory]

  • One main creative outcome as decided by the team. (see the THEMES tab for reference)
  • One photo-essay blog of 800 words.
  • One report.

2 [Highly Recommended]

  • A journal to help capture the team’s thought process and for the team to reflect upon later.
